Two persons are recovering from a stabbing that occurred Thursday evening in Persephone Park and police are seeking the public's help in locating a suspect.
Ceres Police Department spokesman Lt. James Yandell said that the stabbing was reported at 8:25 p.m. at the park located in the 2100 block of Lunar Drive. By the time the first officer arrived, one victim had been driven by a family member to the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Station on Mitchell Road near the Modesto Airport. Officers were unable to get a statement at the time because the victim was being treated for injuries before being taken to a Modesto hospital.
The other victim was treated at the scene.
The most seriously injured victim is hospitalized in serious condition.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding to contact Detective Bryan Ferreira at 538-5616.
