A 39-year-old Modesto man was arrested Friday evening after he crashed his motorcycle during a short pursuit with a Ceres Police officer.

At 10:21 p.m., Officer Aaron Pinon attempted to stop a green Kawasaki motorcycle because its rider passed other vehicles against a double yellow line on River Road at Avon Street. Richard Adams failed to stop even though the officer had emergency lights and siren going. Adams led Officer Pinon on a short pursuit before he lost control and was spilled onto the ground.

Adams was arrested for evading a peace officer with a vehicle and booked into jail at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
