Jesus Alejandro, 35, of Ceres, was booked for vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and violating parole after a Ceres Police officer stopped him in a stolen Honda Civic taken from Modesto.

Officer Eric Gallegos was patrolling on Hatch Road at 1:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8 when he saw the stolen car. He followed the car southbound on Richland Avenue and eastbound on Evans Road until backup arrived and the driver was stopped without incident.

The owner of the car came to the scene and took possession of their vehicle.
