Police believe that the parked taxi cab that was ablaze early Tuesday, Oct. 16 in the 2000 block of Evans Road was the work of an arsonist.

Police and firefighters were dispatched at 2:15 a.m. to the burning vehicle.

The fire was deemed suspicious. Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Greg Yotsuya said there have been several suspicious fires in that area for the past several months.

The case was turned over to fire investigators.
