Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department have identified the two victims of Sunday's double homicide between a trailer park and the southern bank of the Tuolumne River in south Modesto as Cynthia Antrim, 30, and Chad Evert Romesha, 41, both of Modesto.

Detectives arrested Robert Leon Lynch, 74, of Modesto, who was located on scene when deputies arrived, and charged him with two counts of murder. He was taken into custody without incident.

At approximately 11:17 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to the 600 block of River Road in south Modesto for a report of a shooting. They located Antrim and Romesha who were both victims of gunshot wounds. Antrim was pronounced dead at the scene and Romesha was transported to Doctors Medical Center where he later died.

Identification took a while because neither victim had identification on them and had to be positively identified through fingerprints.

Detectives believe both victims were homeless and had been living along the river.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department Detective Greg Buck at 525-7103.
