A Community Health & Wellness Resource Fair will be held this Saturday at the Ceres Community Center, 2701 Fourth Street.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room.

Organizing the event is Guneet Bella, a Modesto High School student who started a youth health equity initiative called “The Remedy Project.”

“I am expecting about seven to 10 organizations coming out with physical/mental health, suicide prevention, and fentanyl awareness resources and information along with some free services like flu shots and immunization shots,” said Bella.

School supplies will be available for needy families provided by the Remedy Project.

Organizations to be present include Central Valley PACE, Golden Valley Health Centers, Sierra Vista Child & Family Services, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Care 2 You, Walgreens and the Kyler Wilson Foundation.
