A 40-year-old Modesto woman was arrested for an outstanding felony arrest warrant after she falsely reported a battery inside the Walmart Supercenter on Sunday evening.

At 5:24 PM, Officer Matthew Vierra went to the store in the 3900 block of Mitchell Road because Teena Velez reported a battery while inside the store. An investigation revealed she had lied about the battery. 

Velez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for her warrant.
