A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Gloria "Arla" Cronan, 76, of Coulterville. She died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005
Burial will be private.
Visitation wil be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs.
Born Jan. 12, 1929, Mrs. Cronan was a native of Hay Springs, Neb., and lived in Coulterville for 20 years. She was a homemaker who danced with the Ceres Twisters square dance club for many years. Mrs. Cronan also enjoyed bowling and baking.
She leaves behind her husband, Donald C. Cronan of Coulterville; her daughter, Patricia Council of Ceres; four brothers, Doug Elwess of Nebraska, Howard Elwess and Sam Elwess, both of Oakdale, and David Elwess of Utah; four sisters, Lois Bezanson of Turlock, Vera Franck of Tuolumne City, Connie Gwin of Ceres and Diane Mooney of Oakdale; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
