Kernel A. Randleas

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Valley Christian Center in Ceres for Kernel Ausker Randleas, 64, of Ceres. He died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005 at his home.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery near Santa Nella. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Born Jan. 19, 1941, Mr. Randleas was a native of Tulare and had lived in Ceres since 1955. He was employed as a dispatcher for Tri Valley Growers for 30 years. Mr. Randleas enjoyed reading, fishing and church activities. He was a member of Valley Christian Center, affiliated with the Assembly of God, and served as the youth group leader. Mr. Randleas was a Navy veteran, having served from 1958 to 1964.

He leaves behind his fianc/e, Shirley Smith of Ceres; five children, Matthew Randleas and Beverly Randleas, both of Ceres, Cheryl Stevens and Don Bratcher, both of Modesto, and Dan Mills of Lake Forest; two sisters, Wanda Tomison of Myrtle Creek, Ore., and Patricia Foster of Modesto; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
