A funeral service was held Friday at the Holy Trinity Church in Cameron Park for Tanya Lea Hansen White, 67, of Placerville. She died on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at her home.

The Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 10, 1937, Mrs. White was a native of Modesto and attended Ripon grammer schools before graduating from Morgan Hill High School. Mrs. White lived in Modesto for many years and also lived at Las Casitas Mobilehome Park for four years. She moved to Placerville seven years ago. Mrs. White had worked as a medical assistant. A devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Placerville, Mrs. White was involved with the Carmelites. Mrs. White was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and animals, especially her pet, "Lady" for over 15 years.

She leaves behind five children, Mark White of Portland, Ore., Tom White of Placerville, Dodie White of Connecticut, Mary White of Richmond and Peggy Allen of Ceres; her mother, Dorothy Marjorie Aksland of Ceres; her sister, Merilyn Sherry Hansen of Lodi; her grandmother, Ruth Lois Souza of Ceres; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Randel White; and her father, Leo Hansen.
