Violet Virginia Lee Saltzman
A Celebration of Life was held at First General Baptist Church in Oakdale on Monday for Violet Virginia Lee Saltzman, 80. She died on June 16, 2009.
Salas Brothers Chapel was in charge of arrangements, including burial at Winton Cemetery.
Born Feb. 4, 1929 Violet was born in England, Ark., to Mirah and Lula Williams as one of nine children.
She leaves behind her children, Allen Saltzman of Farragut, Tenn., Linda Rice of Duncan, Okla., Richard Saltzman and Carol Gregor, both of Ceres; her brother, Hursel Williams of Oakdale; two sisters, Julia Williams of Livingston and Mae Hodges of Licking, Mo.; seven grandchildren, James and Britta Saltzman, Kristine Saltzman, Matthew and Anja Saltzman, Faye and William Trostle, Michael Whitfield, Tamara Gregor and Kaitlin Saltzman; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Donald Saltzman in 1985 and infant son Charles in 1951.
