Grapes & Hops event owes thanks to many donors

Editor, Ceres Courier,

On Friday, April 5, Soroptimist of Ceres held its second annual Grapes & Hops event at the River Oaks Golf Course event center. 

Thirteen wine and beer vendors were represented, including local businesses Bronco Wine Company, Berryhill Family Vineyards, E&J Gallo Winery, and Blaker Brewing.  Appetizers from Escalon’s Cucina Pazza were served, and there were several raffles for guests to participate in.

Proceeds from the event will support the Soroptimist of Ceres club efforts, which include the Soroptimists Empowering Teens (SET) workshops held at the three Ceres Unified junior high schools, the Dream It, Be It workshop for high school girls, scholarships for graduating seniors, and other community service projects.
