Wrestlers from Central Valley, Ceres High, Livingston, Patterson, Pacheco, Los Banos and El Capitan will compete at the Western Athletic Conference Championships on Friday at Livingston High School.

The top four individuals in each weight class advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-IV Tournament, to be staged Feb. 20-21 at Foothill High School.

“I’m expecting a first-place finish,” Hawks head coach Rob Beckhart said. “It’s not going to be easy. Los Banos is on fire right now. We’ll be ready for them.”

“I can definitely see us finishing in the top two,” Bulldogs head coach Steve Festa said. “I see it being between us and Central Valley. Right now, it’s about moving on and collecting hardware.”
