A 57-year-old Modesto man was arrested during an early Friday vehicle stop where a search turned up suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

At 12:43 a.m., Officer Jonathan Blount made an enforcement stop of a white Chevrolet Volt at Joyce Avenue and Bystrum Road. Officer Blount spoke to driver Steven Baron who was found to have an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest issued by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department and a misdemeanor arrest warrant from the Modesto Police.

Baron was arrested and a search of his vehicle turned up the illegal items. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
