Two men occupying a stolen car were arrested early Thursday morning during a Ceres traffic stop.

At 1:48 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Angel Murillo was patrolling the 1400 block of Hatch Road when he stopped a black-colored Cadillac sedan for vehicle code violations. Through the investigation, Officer Murillo learned that the vehicle was reported as stolen.

Officer Murillo arrested driver, Isaac Rojas, 38, of Ceres, for possession of a stolen vehicle and auto theft. He also arrested passenger, Pedro Medina 26 of Modesto, after locating a large baggy containing an off-white rock substance suspected of being methamphetamine. Medina was charged with transporting a controlled substance.

A records check revealed that Medina also had a felony warrant for robbery and home invasion.

Both Rojas and Medina were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
