Transient arrested for assault with a box-cutter

A 21-year-old transient man was arrested Tuesday evening, Dec. 29 after he allegedly cut the torso of a 34-year-old Turlock man during an altercation near the Subway at 2600 Mitchell Road.

At 8:57 p.m., Ceres Police were called to Emmanuel Medical Center in Turlock, for a report of someone who was assaulted with cuts in Ceres. Officer Kiashira Ruiz started investigating the claims against Anthony Crosby and tracked him down to an apartment unit at 3100 Whitmore Avenue. As officers appeared at the door, Crosby attempted to escape out of the rear. He quickly ducked back inside where he was arrested. He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, violation of a court order, and violation of parole.
