A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Ceres Memorial Park for Karen Raye Casteel Gibbons, 62, of Ceres. She died Thursday, April 21, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

A dinner will be held afterward at the clubhouse of Colony Park Estates Mobile Home Park, 3939 S. Central Ave.

Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Born May 22, 1942, Mrs. Gibbons was a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., and lived in Ceres for 53 years. She was a homemaker who attended the Home of the Resurrected church in South Modesto.

Mrs. Gibbons leaves behind her husband, Rubert Gibbons of Ceres; six children, Rubert Gibbons Jr., Robert Gibbons and Vivian Gibbons, all of Ceres, Frank Gibbons and Debbie Gibbons, both of Bend, Ore., and Nedett Horne of Waldron, Ark.; three brothers, Jimmy Dean Casteel of Modesto, Johnny Casteel of Manassa, Colo., and George Lee Roy Casteel of Mindenmines, Mo.; three sisters, Beverly Jackson, Freddna Moss and Dortha Delgado, all of Ceres; and 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
