Private funeral services were held in Turlock on Feb. 11 for Samuel Warda, 74. He died peacefully in San Francisco on Feb. 7, 2009 after an illness.
Born March 7, 1934, Samuel graduated from Hughson High School, Modesto Junior College and California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo.
He leaves behind four sisters, Elizabeth Essa of Modesto, Mary Jardine of Hayward, and Emma Morris and Helen Warda, both of Turlock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Saul and Zevy Warda, and brothers Ishmael Bob Warda, Simon David Warda, and David Jesse Warda.
