Dolphins take fourth in Tracy

After weeks of training, the Ceres Dolphins recreational swim program opened its 2008 campaign with a respectable fourth-place finish this past weekend at the 39th Annual Tracy Invitational.

Ceres totaled 573.50 points at the six-team competition.

Tracy (878.50), Oakdale (693), Ripon (589), Manteca (447.50) and Turlock (397.50) took first, second, third, fifth and sixth, respectively.

Girls

Jessalyn Johnson swept the 100 free, 50 fly, 50 back, 100 IM, 50 breast and 50 free en route to scoring a team-high 42 points in the 17-18 division for the Dolphins.

Cassandra Guevara placed first in the 50 free and third in the 50 fly in the 13-14 division.

Haley Fisicaro placed second in the 100 free, 50 fly, 50 back and 50 free, and third in the 100 IM in the 11-12 division.

Marissa Morado placed second in the 100 IM and 25 breast, and third in the 50 free and 25 back in the 7-8 division.

Cierra Alvear placed second in the 50 breast in the 13-14 division.

Taylor Rogers placed second in the 50 free in the 13-14 division.

Sophie Laffoon placed second in the 50 breast in the 9-10 division.

Kacey Johnson placed third in the 100 free and 50 back in the 17-18 division.

Bianca Alaniz placed third in the 50 fly in the 11-12 division.

Jasmine Smith placed first in the 50 back, and third in the 50 fly and 50 free in the 13-14 B-division.

Allison Serratos placed first in the 25 fly and 25 free, and third in the 25 breast in the 7-8 B-division.

Victoria Morado placed first in the 100 IM in the 11-12 B-division.

Rebecca Meares placed first in the 50 breast in the 11-12 B-division.

Savanna Alvear placed second in the 50 fly in the 13-14 B-division.

Yunuen Duarte placed second in the 100 IM in the 9-10 B-division.

Katrina Guevara placed second in the 25 breast in the 7-8 B-division.

Victor Cruz placed first in the 100 free, second in the 50 fly, 100 IM and 50 free, and third in the 50 back and 50 breast in the 13-14 division.

Chad Nunes placed first in the 50 fly in the 11-12 division.

Zachary Jones placed second in the 50 fly and third in the 100 free in the 11-12 division.
