Crosstown-rivals Ceres High and Central Valley faced off in six varsity sports this spring.

The Bulldogs had a 1.000 winning percentage against the Hawks during the Western Athletic Conference regular season.

Ceres High won the overall win-loss battle, 18-0.

The Bulldogs experienced success against the Hawks in boys tennis, boys golf, softball, baseball, swimming and track and field.

BOYS TENNIS
Ceres High beat Central Valley three times.

The Bulldogs improved their head-to-head record versus the Hawks to 23-0 with a 6-3 home victory on April 12.

Juan Hernandez and Will Rodriguez defeated Max Sanchez and Jesus Cuevas 6-4, 6-3 in No. 1 doubles play.

Gurraj Purewal and Tarandeep Singh defeated Adrian Gomez and Ivan Jimenez 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-4) in No. 3 doubles play.

The WAC-champion Bulldogs (14-1) edged the fourth-place Hawks (7-8) twice by identical scores of 5-4.

Polanes' three-set (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) triumph over Ralph Afortunado in No. 6 singles play propelled Ceres High past host Central Valley on March 31.

The Bulldogs won two of three doubles and three of six singles matches in beating the Hawks on March 13 at Ceres High.

Tony Heras and Erik Haro defeated Gomez and Jimenez 6-4, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles play.

McCaig defeated Lazcano 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles play.

Campos defeated Zaragoza 6-1, 6-2 in No. 4 singles play.

Polanes defeated Ortiz 6-0, 7-5 in No. 6 singles play.

BOYS GOLF
Gary Condit, Jayden Panyanouvong, Braden Hurst, Jake Nevarez, James Cervantez and Zac Chapman all contributed as Ceres High continued its run of dominance against Central Valley.

The first-place Bulldogs topped the last-place Hawks during all six of the conference's cluster tournaments.

Ceres High outshot Central Valley, 423-639, 424-576, 305-389, 427-587, 434-609 and 341-418, en route to successfully defending its WAC title.

SOFTBALL
