Assault suspect arrested

A 50-year-old Ceres man who was wanted for an assault with a deadly weapon reported on Oct. 17, was apprehended on Oct. 29.

Wayne Lee Wolfe was wanted for a domestic violence/assault with a deadly weapon incident that occurred in the 2900 block of Sixth Street in Ceres. Officer Jessica Graham investigated the original incident and issued an information and belief warrant for his arrest.

At 12:18 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 Officer Vince Hooper spotted Wolfe walking his bike in the area of El Camino Avenue and Brickett Court. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Public Safety Center on felony charges of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
