Car yields drugs, drug lab materials
Ceres Cop Car

A report of two suspicious-looking men parked in a car in the 1800 block of Monterey Pine Avenue led to one arrest on Thursday evening, Oct. 20.

At 9:36 p.m. Officer Eric Gallegos approached the car and its driver, Victor Flores-Higuera, 20, of Ceres. He told the officer he was going to smoke marijuana with a friend and admitted he had marijuana in the car. Flores-Higuera consented to a search and Officer Gallegos found a small amount of marijuana and a glass jar with a brown liquid inside, coffee filters, a grinder with a white powdery residue, two empty acetone bottles and several ephedrine pills. When questioned by Officer Gallegos, the suspect said he was addicted to cocaine and that he used the items as a cheap way to get high without paying for cocaine which he found was too expensive.

Flores-Higuera was arrested and transported to jail where he was booked for manufacturing a controlled substance.
