A robbery suspect who has frequented Ceres and whose identity was discovered after he dropped his cell phone at a crime scene, has now been implicated in a Fresno robbery attempt that ended with his alleged accomplice being shot by a retired police officer.

His alleged accomplice, Bobbie-Sue Alexandra Nicole Sevier, 31, of Ceres, was shot Friday morning as she assisted with his great-away.

The list of crimes Jeremy Lynd is suspected of committing continues to grow while the 32-year-old Elk Grove man remains on the loose.

Lynd's latest escapade was reported in Fresno, where he attempted to rob a man at an ATM. The attempted robbery was reported around 5:15 a.m. Friday outside a Fresno credit union. The male victim had stopped at the ATM and was in the process of getting some cash when a man behind him said "it sure is cold out here." As the victim turned around, the man - later identified as Lynd - tried to shock him in the neck with a stun gun. Lynd allegedly then used the stun gun to shock the man in the lower back, according to the Fresno Police Department.

The shock didn't bring the victim down, as he was able to make his way to his vehicle, where he had a loaded pistol. The victim is a retired peace officer with 14 years experience and has a concealed carry permit.

The victim ordered Lynd to the ground and Lynd was complying until a woman drove up in a car and yelled for Lynd to get in the car, which he did. The woman started to drive off, but struck the victim's car, which he was in at the time. The victim told officers later that he feared the woman was going to strike him with the vehicle, so he fired several rounds, one of which penetrated through the vehicle and struck the woman in the leg. The woman has been identified as Sevier. Her gunshot wound was not considered life-threatening.

Sevier crashed the vehicle at a nearby Starbucks. She ran into the café, while Lynd disappeared on foot into the fog. Sevier was taken into custody in the Starbucks. The stun gun was recovered at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, but the Fresno Police Department believes the shooting was justified.

The car that Sevier was driving had been stolen in a carjacking on New Year's Day in Sacramento. Sevier was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

Lynd's picture began circulating among law enforcement and on social media and media websites after he allegedly robbed a woman in Turlock, dropping his cell phone in the process. The cell phone had a selfie of Lynd as the screensaver.

Turlock Police Detective Jason Tosta, who is investigating the case, said an officer with the Ceres Police Department recognized the suspect as Lynd. Facebook messages also named the suspect as Lynd.

Lynd is currently wanted for violating his parole for a previous conviction of armed bank robbery. A warrant is also being obtained for Lynd's arrest for the Monday robbery in Turlock, in addition to the other crimes he is suspected of committing.

The robbery in Turlock occurred around 4:30 p.m. Monday at the College Vista Apartments at 3501 Crowell Road.

The female victim had just parked her vehicle when she was approached by a white male in his 20s, who pulled out a handgun and broke her car window. The suspect stole the woman's purse and cell phone.

"I think when he pulled out his gun is when he dropped his cell phone and didn't notice it," Tosta said.

Lynd was later implicated in a crime spree in Sacramento, including a carjacking and a pursuit. He was able to avoid capture, but his vehicle was impounded and processed for evidence. Tosta said he recovered the victim's stolen property, as well as a gun.

Monday's robbery is not Lynd's first foray with area law enforcement. In December 2015, he was arrested by officers from the Ceres Police Department after he was found asleep behind the wheel with his car idling at an intersection. A search of his vehicle turned up methamphetamine.

In 2005, Lynd entered a guilty plea in federal court to two counts of armed bank robbery. The robberies occurred at a Bank of the West in Walnut Creek and a Farmers and Merchants Bank in Modesto. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years of supervised release.

Lynd's LinkedIn profile states he works for a plumbing company based in San Leandro. He lives in Elk Grove, but has connections to the Turlock and Ceres area. Sevier's Facebook page states she is an in home care provider.
