Ceres liquor store robbed at gunpoint

Ceres Police detectives are seeking to arrest the two men who robbed Dennis Sav-On Liquors, at 2513 Moffett Road, at gunpoint on Saturday evening.

The armed robbery was reported to police at approximately 10:13 p.m. by the clerk who said two men just robbed the store with was armed with a handgun. The two were last seen on foot running toward the northwest corner of the Richland Shopping Center parking lot.

One suspect was wearing a black hoodie, a black pair of shorts, red and white shoes, and holding a dark colored semi-automatic handgun in his right hand. The suspect pointed the gun at the clerk in a threatening manner. The second suspect was wearing a white hoodie, and black pants. The second suspect immediately went behind the counter and demanded the clerk open the register while the first suspect stood on the front side of the counter pointing the gun at the clerk and yelling to open the register. When the clerk finally got the register open the suspect took an unknown amount of money and ran out the door.

Officers checked the area but were unable to locate either of the suspects.
