Two persons were arrested Thursday evening when a Ceres Police officer spotted them driving a stolen pickup in Ceres.

Arrested were driver Luis Leon, 36, of Tracy, and passenger Sophia Agundez, 23, of Patterson.

At 6:49 p.m. Officer Jessica Graham was patrolling the area of Pine and Sixth streets when she saw a white Nissan pickup eastbound on Sixth Street and discovered that it had been stolen in Tracy. 

Officer Graham conducted a traffic stop on Sixth Street near Roeding Road and ordered both out and arrested them. 

Leon and Agundez were each placed under arrest for grand theft auto and possession of stolen property.
