Disturbance leads to drug arrest

A disturbance in the street caused by a man in the 2800 block of Dale Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 18 led to his arrest for drug possession.

At 1:25 p.m. Sergeant Travis Hudson approached Craig rum, 30, of Ceres, and determined that he was on felony probation for drug offenses and was searchable. During the probation search of Craig, Hudson found two syringes in his backpack and 20 Xanax pills his pants pocket. Craig was arrested and transported to jail where he was booked for possession of prescription pills, possession of drug paraphernalia and a violation of his probation.
