Jose Pimentel 39, of Ceres, was arrested by Ceres Police last week after he was spotted holding a meth pipe near Independence Park.

At 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19 Officer Jon Vera was patrolling the 1600 block of Richland Avenue when he saw Pimentel holding a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine. When contacted, the suspect also held a small bindle methamphetamine. Officer Vera told him to drop what was in his hands and he complied. The meth and the pipe fell to the ground.

Pimentel was arrested and booked for possession of methamphetamine.
