A man with four outstanding arrest warrants and carrying illegal drugs was arrested after he was recognized while walking on Third Street near the Ceres Police Department Friday afternoon.
At 3:15 p.m. Ceres Police Sgt. Vince Hooper spotted and recognized Christopher Kane, 42 of Ceres from a prior contact. Knowing Kane had a warrant for his arrest the sergeant stopped him and conducted a search with Officer Brian Petersen. Kane had methamphetamine in his pocket. He was arrested and booked for the warrants and possession of a controlled substance.
