Herndon Road Taco Bell burglarized
copteaserbox .tif

Thursday's break-in of the Taco Bell on Herndon Avenue was similar to the recent break-in of the Neo-X clothing store on Hatch Road.

The manager called police at 6:20 a.m. after finding the drive-thru window smashed open and a cash register missing. The thief apparently turned off the power to the business to prevent the burglar alarm from going off.

Right after that report was taken, police were off to take a burglary report at the 99 Cents Only store on Hatch Road. The electricity to that business was not turned off but entry was believed to have been made from a rear door which may have been left ajar. No alarm went off.

A surveillance video showed a white male adult wearing a black mask on his face and sporting long shaggy hair. He was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack.
