An arrest was made on a 26-year-old Modesto driver for drug possession after he was reported slumped over the steering wheel of his car on Tuesday morning, Jan. 5.

Officer Matt Myers was sent to Richland Avenue and Giddings Street at 9 a.m. to check on Nickalus Aasen, 26, of Modesto who was inside a running black Honda. Aasen was sweating although it was approximately 50 degrees.   Aasen admitted to heroin being in the vehicle. A search of the car turned up approximately 1.5 grams of black tar heroin along with burnt foil and straw. Aasen is charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
