A 45-year-old Turlock man who was released early from incarceration was arrested by Ceres Police early yesterday in a traffic stop which yielded a weapon and a shotgun shell.

At 2:13 a.m., Officer Aaron Pinon stopped a silver-colored Hyundai Accent at Roeding and Moore roads for a vehicle code violation. Driver Shane Hamilton, 45, of Turlock, was found to have a suspended driver license and on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).

Officer Pinon performed a probation compliance check and located suspected heroin inside the car along with a live 12-gauge shotgun shell. Officer Pinon booked Hamilton for possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and for possession of heroin.
