Man peddles past stop sign, cited for meth

A 36-year-old Ceres man was cited on drug charges Thursday morning after he was stopped for blowing past a stop sign while riding a bike.

At 10:12 a.m. Officer Justin Canatsy was in area of Blaker Road and Walnut Avenue and saw a man on bike failing to stop for a stop sign. He pulled Nathaniel Turnbough, 36, of Ceres, over and learned he was on searchable probation. Canatsy found a small bag of methamphetamine in Turnbough's pocket. He was cited for possession of methamphetamine.
