A three-minute Ceres Police pursuit of a man on a Kawasaki motorcycle on Saturday evening ended when he lost control and crashed and was arrested.

At 7:58 p.m. Officer Aaron Pinon attempted to make an enforcement stop of the motorcycle in the 1400 block of Hatch Road when the rider, 38-year-old Kristopher Thornton, decided to try to get away. He left the roadway and attempted to drive over the railroad tracks near South Seventh Street and Pecos Avenue in south Modesto, when the motorcycle tipped onto the ground.

Thornton was arrested for evading a peace officer with no regard for the public and for an outstanding felony arrest warrant and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
