Ceres Police apprehended two men Monday morning who moments earlier tried to steal a motorcycle at a mobile home park.

A female resident of Colony Park Estates Mobile Home Park, 3939 S. Central Ave., called 9-1-1 at 8:28 a.m. to report two men had wheeled off her son’s motorcycle from her driveway and pushed it toward a red pickup parked a few homes away. When she confronted the pair of would-be thieves attempting to lift the motorcycle into a pickup, they spooked and took off.

Officer Freddie Ortiz spotted the red pickup on Service Road. Another officer, Adam Hall, positioned himself to block the pickup near Central Avenue. The pair cooperated when ordered out of the pickup.

George Cady, 39, of Ceres, and Francisco Inacio, 43, of Livingston, were arrested for grand theft auto.
