Ceres Police arrested a 34-year-old Ceres registered sex offender who was out of compliance with registration requirements and in possession of drugs on Tuesday afternoon, July 14. The arrest came in a backyard of a home in the 2400 block of Boothe Road after the residents called police to report that Keith Alicea, 34, of Ceres, and their daughter were not welcome on the property.

Officers Christian Izquierdo and Trinidad Viramontes responded to the 1:00 p.m. call to have the couple escorted off the property. The two were found inside of a shed in the backyard.

Alicea was searched and a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine was located in his wallet. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and possession of a controlled substance.
