Riverbank man arrested in Ceres Home Depot robbery

 A 43-year-old Riverbank man was arrested for robbery on Thursday afternoon after making threats to a store employee trying to stop him for theft.

According to Ceres Police, dispatchers were called at 4:09 p.m. to the Home Depot located at 1415 Hatch Road with the report of a robbery.

Officer Tyler Wilson arrived and learned that the suspect, Jeremy Casaus, 43, of Riverbank, had fled the area. Through the investigation, it was determined that Casaus had stolen merchandise and when contacted by an employee, Casaus made threatening motions towards the employee.

Officers checked the area and located Casaus in the intersection of Musick and Nadine avenues and located the stolen goods.

A records check revealed Casaus had three warrants for his arrest, one of which was for shoplifting. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for robbery and the warrants.
