A Thursday evening traffic stop made in the area of Hatch and Moffett roads resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old Modesto man who had an arrest warrant issued for him by authorities in Texas on drug charges.

The arrest came during the 6:01 p.m. traffic stop of a Mitsubishi Lancer by Officer Aaron Pinon for vehicle code violations. Officer Pinon learned that Omar Zepeda Armenta, 28, of Modesto had the warrant and arrested him. He was booked him into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
