In nearly identical cases at separate stores in Ceres about an hour apart, two men were arrested for drug possession Dec. 4 after being reported to police as loiterers.

He found Daniel Campbell, 35, of Ceres near the store.  Campbell was on probation and had a warrant for his arrest. During a search, Myers located heroin in Campbell’s pockets.  He was booked for drug possession and the warrant.

At 10:53 p.m. Officer Jon Vera was sent to Valley Mart on Mitchell Road for a report of a suspicious male loitering. Mikel Gonzales, 33, of Hughson, was found to have a warrant for his arrest.  During a subsequent search, heroin was found in Gonzales’ backpack.  He was booked for drug possession and the warrant.
