Daniel Ruvalcaba, 39, of Ceres, was arrested Wednesday evening, Feb. 17 after he led Ceres Police on a chase into Modesto.
At 10:53 p.m., Officer Adam Hall attempted to Ruvalcaba after observing his car being driven erratically on S. Ninth Street near Latimer Avenue, nearly causing a crash. When the officer turned on his emergency lights and siren, Ruvalcaba sped away northbound on South 7th Street from Pecos Avenue with speeds reaching 65 mph. Officer Hall followed as the pursuit made its way through three miles of mainly industrial areas of south Modesto.
The pursuit ended when Ruvalcaba turned southbound onto Ryder Road from River Road, apparently not realizing that it dead-ends. Ruvalcaba stopped his vehicle and complied with orders to exit the vehicle. Ruvalcaba was arrested and faces charges of evading a police officer and driving on a suspended license.
