Ceres teen goes back to jail
Ceres Cop Car

A Ceres teen known to police was arrested Friday morning during a call about him violating a criminal protective order.

Officers Dirk Nieuwenhuis and Kiashira Ruiz responded to a 9:33 a.m. call in the 1100 block of San Pedro Avenue for help dealing with Tyler Underwood, 19, of Ceres. When Underwood saw the officers he jumped out of a bedroom window and tried to escape by jumping over several fences and through adjacent yards. He was pursed in the area of Granite Falls and Moon River Way. Underwood had a small baggie of pills clenched in his right hand and stated they were Oxycontin and Percocet. Officers were able to confirm the pills were actually Oxycodone. Underwood was booked for violation of a restraining order, resisting arrest, probation violation, and possession of a narcotic controlled substance.

Underwood has a criminal history that includes burglary, theft, vandalism, trespassing and violating probation.
