An alleged inebriated driver was arrested early Saturday morning after he crashed into a light pole and it toppled.

The solo crash occurred at 2:07 a.m. at the intersection of Hatch and Mitchell roads. The metal pole had fallen into the #2 lane of eastbound Hatch Road and was struck by a second car that was eastbound.

Police found Jose Cisostomo, 48, of Modesto, intoxicated behind the wheel of a blue Chevy Tahoe. Cisostomo was arrested and charged with DUI.

Police said that Cisostomo was over three times the legal limit.
