Police say that a Modesto driver was under the influence of medication when he rear-ended another vehicle while driving westbound on Hatch Road on Saturday afternoon.
At 12:30 p.m. Fidel Arreola, 33, of Modesto, crashed his Chevy Silverado pickup into the back of a 2012 Ford Escape at Herndon Road. Nobody was injured in the crash but police say Arreola was impaired. He was also found with a stolen identification. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of DUI.
Also on Saturday, a Riverbank teenage driver was arrested Saturday morning when he was found passed out intoxicated behind the wheel of his car sitting in the middle of Whitmore Avenue.
At 1:50 a.m. a person called 911 to report the driver slumped over behind the wheel at Third Street and Whitmore Avenue. The officer searched and didn't find anyone but later found the driver at at Mitchell and Whitmore sitting in a stopped 2005 Kia.
Moises Meloromo, 18, of Riverbank, was charged with DUI.
