A police officer was in the right place at the right time on Friday afternoon to roll up near a white 2012 Infiniti T37 that he knew had been reported stolen.

Officer Michael Vierra was patrolling at 4:31 p.m. in the area of Central Avenue and Evans Road when he spotted the stolen car. He called for backup officers as they conducted a high-risk stop on the driver, Daniel Foletta, 36, of Ceres. Foletta was arrested without incident and charged with auto theft, and possession of stolen property.

The car was returned to its Ceres owner.
