A domestic fight in Smyrna Park on Wednesday morning, June 23, led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Ceres man who happened to have several Xanax tablets, a large amount of methamphetamine and Fentanyl.

At 8:50 a.m., Officers Kao Saechao and Christian Izquierdo were dispatched for a fight between a man and woman near the park restrooms. Officer Izquierdo located Alexander Burns, 28, of Ceres as Officer Saechao contacted the female. Burns was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of an illegal drug with the intent to sell.
