A 32-year-old Ceres man was arrested last week on charges that he stole money as an employee of the Hatch Road Home Depot store.

The store called police at 11:39 a.m. on Thursday to report suspicions that . Edgar Olide, 32, had taken money from the cash register while working as a cashier. Officer Jose Andrade investigated the charge and booked Olide into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on a charge of embezzlement.
