Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Unit wrapped up a months-long criminal investigation that resulted in multiple arrests and seizure of multiple firearms, narcotics and bomb making materials.

On Wednesday, Feb. 28 with the assistance of other local enforcement agencies in various counties, SIU and SWAT team members executed 12 simultaneous search warrants in their ongoing investigation into outlaw motorcycle gang activity.

The case stemmed from earlier acts of violence which took place last year involving a dispute amongst dozens of rival Hells Angels, Salida Nomads, as well as Mongol street gang members.

Detectives with SIU conducted follow-up investigation for several months and identified suspects, locations and accessories believed to be involved with the 2023 acts of violence.

With the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as several neighboring local enforcement agencies in San Joaquin and Tuolumne counties, search warrants were obtained and served targeting dangerous outlaw motorcycle gang members. Twelve tactical teams were involved in the operation.

Authorities seized approximately 50 firearms, gun silencers, gang indicia, narcotics/controlled substances and bomb making explosive materials.

Some of the more noteworthy arrests include the following Modesto residents: Vincent Ball, 62, Anthony Vincent Soria, 37, Alfeiri Mishell Taneiya, 26, and Emilio Diaz Martinez.

Charges included felon in possession of a firearm & ammunition, steroid possession, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a silencer, manufacturing & selling metal knuckles, possession of narcotics along with a loaded firearm.

The investigation remains an active and ongoing one.
