Police arrested a man on Tuesday, Sept. 16 after he allegedly blacked out surveillance video cameras and cut a hole in a chain link fence behind dd's discounts store at 1640 Hatch Road.
A burglar alarm was sounded at 11:40 p.m. when the door to the trash compactor was opened. Officer Josh Klinge arrived with canine Duke and made announcements for the suspect to come out, giving Duke the command to bark. That was enough to cause John McClure, 31, of Modesto, to give up and surrender. He was booked for felony commercial burglary.
