Adam Goodman, 30, AKA Chubs, is wanted for the stabbing death that occurred Thursday afternoon at Modesto Mobile Village, 665 South Seventh Street.

Thursday's south Modesto stabbing that took the life of a 37-year-old man prompted Sheriff's Department investigators to issue a call for the public to help report the whereabouts of their only suspect.

Adam Goodman, 30, who is known on the street as "Chubs," has been identified as the man wanted for the stabbing which occurred at 2:15 p.m. at Modesto Mobile Village Mobile Home Park at 665 South Seventh Street. The victim, Stanley Schmidt, was rushed to a hospital emergency room where he later died.

Detectives would not release details concerning the attack but did identify Goodman as the suspect. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees Goodman should call 911. Goodman is described as a white male adult 5-foot-9, 194 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his chin, neck and over his left eye. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black T-shirt, and jeans with a Ed Hardy design on the back of them.
