Ceres Police detectives are hoping to get some help from the public in identifying the suspect in an Aug. 30 home

At 8:57 p.m. officers responded to the report of a home invasion robbery.

Sgt. Jose Berber said that the suspect knocked on the front door of the home where the victim was expecting an employee to show up. When the homeowner opened the door part way, the suspect pushed the door open and grabbed the victim and announced that he had a gun and would shoot the victim. The suspect forced the victim inside where he proceeded to steal several items before fleeing on foot before officers arrived.

The suspect was described as possibly a black adult male. Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call detectives at 538-5727.
