A 19-year-old Modesto man led Ceres Police on a high-speed pursuit from Ceres into Turlock early Saturday but was ultimately arrested.

The incident began at 12:47 a.m. when Ceres Police Officer Kevin Roseen attempted to pull over Alejandro Meneses, 19, of Modesto, who was driving a Dodge Charger and committed vehicle code violations in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue. Instead of pulling over, Meneses floored it, getting onto southbound Highway 99. Meneses pulled into a business in the 5200 block of W. Main Street in Turlock and ran into a business where he was found and arrested.

He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of evading a peace officer.
